Mother’s Day Gift Ideas | How To Treat Your Mum

If you can’t quite believe it’s March either, you’re not alone. January took forever and February has disappeared landing us in March with Mother’s Day just round the corner. I’m a big believer in treating your mum all year round and not just showing your appreciation on just one out of 365 days. However, it’s a pretty good excuse to shower your mum in love for one day in particular and give her the perfect present, whether it big or small, after all she literally carried you for nine months, birthed you and is always there for you no matter what. Have a browse below of the best Mother’s Day gifts and really spoil your mum.

Beauty

Your mum probably has a signature scent, the smell you know and love, but how about a change? Or at least adding a new fragrance onto her dressing table. I’m in love with the new Versace Dylan Blue Pour Femme, so in love in fact, I wrote a review about it, check it out here.

Who doesn’t love makeup and what’s better than a set that lets your mum create an entire, beautiful look. Enter Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Gift Box. This one will earn you brownie points.

If you’re on more of a budget, why not treat your mum to the best budget skincare around, The Ordinary. Go for a moisturiser or nourishing serum, if you’re confused about what to get, check out my Ordinary skincare review here.

Flowers, Wine or Chocolate

This classic Mother’s Day gift never gets old. You really can’t go wrong with a glorious, colourful bouquet for your mum and Selfridges have the most beautiful range. Mother’s Day and chocolates go hand in hand, so get down to Hotel Chocolat and pick up a special Mother’s Day box. If flowers and chocolate aren’t her thing then wine most likely is. Treat your mum to a personalised bottle of Veuve Clicquot or a beautiful bottle of rosé Moet.

Accessories

Everyone knows that mums must always have their bag with them and within it, it must contain every essential for any eventuality. So why not treat your mum to an upgrade and invest in a stunning bag from Mulberry, like the Bayswater Tote.

Or if she has one too many bags in her wardrobe already, pick up some divine pure silk pyjamas, so every night feels like a decadent stay in a luxury hotel. Little bit in love with this set from Olivia Von Halle and I’m sure your mum will be too.

Candles

You can’t go wrong with the Aldi’s ‘Jo Malone lookalike’ candles. Me and my mum are obsessed with the Pomegranate flavour after I got her the range for Christmas. The reed diffusers are amazing too – they last for months and all I can smell when I walk through the front door.

Alternatively, you could go all out and get the real deal from Jo Malone, or treat her to something delicious form Diptyque.

Experiences

One of the best things you can give your mum is time and what better way to do so than treating her to afternoon tea. The Courthouse in Knutsford are offering a spin on the traditional delights by serving a savoury afternoon tea, especially for Mother’s Day, check out my review here.

Or if you fancy some pamper time, head to Selfridges at Exchange Square Manchester, who are hosting two very exciting events with some fantastic guests. On Saturday 10th March there will be a Mum’s Beauty Breakfast, with lifestyle and family bloggers, along with a Pamper Afternoon with champagne, canapes and discussions on all things beauty with special guests Daisy Lowe and Pearl Lowe.

The events are taking place on one day only and tickets are available for £50 per event, of which an amazing £25 is redeemable on products in the Selfridges store on the day. Get your tickets here.
