What to Wear to Work

What do you wear to work when winter is transitioning into spring? It’s a tricky one. The weather is still not exactly tropical, especially here in the UK, -1 and it’s May next week! You want to look polished but not too high maintenance and you definitely don’t want to be spending more time than is needed choosing an outfit in the morning, we need our sleep. You don’t need a whole new wardobe for spring, but you can rework what you wore last year with some added pieces to reinvigorate your style. Think lightweight shirts, low block heels, pretty blouses and smart tailoring.

A printed shirt dress, with statement shoes and minimal jewellery will be a sure way to add some sunshine into your office on a Monday morning. The low comfortable block heels are super easy to wear to work and an easy way to look polished post-weekend.

Pair a relaxed jumpsuit with transitional boots and a lightweight trench for a smart utility look and accessorize with dainty jewellery.

Flute sleeves and breton stripes paired with a tailored midi skirt go hand in hand to create this Parisian inspired look. Quirky accessories make this sharp outfit fun.

Invest in expensive looking blouses that will see you through season after season. You can’t go wrong with plain white but if you want to be a little more fashion forward, opt for a ruffled or printed number, or one that combines both.

Dress down Friday doesn’t need to be a scruffy, ‘I have nothing left in my wardobe’ outfit. Why not pair a crisp white tee, with clean trainers and a pair of black cullottes for a casual, yet smart look.
