8 Alternative Pizza Crusts

I love pizza. If it was acceptable to eat it everyday, I probably would. But I don’t love the huge amount of calories, lack of nutrition and slugglish feeling you get after chomping down a Dominos (a large for one is ok right?).

Fortunately, some amazing foodie bloggers have shared their healthier takes on the classic and created some deliciously tasty alternatives.

Cauliflower Crust from A Sweet Pea Chef

Probably my favourite of the bunch (although they’re all inventive and scrummy) but it’s just so similar to the real thing, but so much healthier!

Sweet Potato Crust from Pinch of Yum

This three ingredient ‘pizza’ could not be easier, full of crunch, flavour and utter yuminess.

Zucchini (Courgette) Breakfast Pizza from A Saucy Kitchen

Another pretty simple, tasty alternative with cheese in the crust? I’m sold.

Veggie Powered Pizza from Rainbow Nourishments

The vegan crust from Rainbow Nourishments looks too good to eat and will be lining this one up to try very soon.

Eggplant (Aubergine) Pizza from Imma Eat That

These mini personal pizzas look pretty cute, are gluten free and I can imagine would go down pretty well at a canape requiring party.

Squash Pizza from Wholehearted Eats

Gluten free, crunchy and delicious, what’s not to love about this butternut squash pizza?

Portobello Mushroom Pizza from Life As A Strawberry

With a pure vegetable base, this is’t the conventional crust you would expect, but does not deter its deliciousness.

Quinoa Pizza from Deliciously Ella

This vegan pizza, with tastes from the Med has the perfect nutty crunch and a yummy topping.
